Green Values, Religion, Secularism and the ethical basis for social and environmental action

Evening seminar in Dublin

This seminar is inspired by the Green European Foundation's publication Green Values, Religion and Secularism, edited by Nuala Ahern and Erica Meijers, in which Green politicians from different European contexts reflect on the relationship between politics and religion, both in their own lives and in society.

The seminar is hosted by Green European Foundation, with the support of Green Foundation Ireland and in partnership with the Irish School of Ecumenics at Trinity College Dublin.

The speakers include Francis Duffy (Green Party Councillor, Lecturer and Architect), Sorley McCaughey (Director of Advocacy and Policy at Christian Aid), Erica Meijers (Theologian and Co-Editor of Green Values, Religion and Secularism), and Cathriona Russell (Lecturer in Environmental Ethics at TCD, formerly Director M.Phil in Ecology and Ethics at All Hallows College, Dublin). The panel will be followed by a Q&A session.

Admission to the seminar is free but advance registration is required.
